The "Stay warm in your heart" Project |
THE SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS
|
At HOPE, we know the craft of making warm and durable coats. We use this knowledge to support the work of the non-profit organisation Stockholms Stadsmission, by contributing with 20 Down Parkas to young homeless families. To support the organisation in their work to prevent homelessness further, HOPE also donates parts of the profit from the sales of the Down Parka for men and women.
The ambassadors for this long-term project, that we call STAY WARM IN YOUR HEART, are Ethan Hawke (actor), Anna Ternheim (artist), Alexander Skarsgård (actor), Lykke Li (artist) Veronica Maggio (artist) Jonas Karlsson (actor), Anders Wendin (artist, Moneybrother), Nina Persson (fr The Cardigans/A Camp), Nathan Larsson (artist and writer), Pernilla August (actress and director), Daniel Espinosa (director), Mia Skäringer (actress), Bill Skarsgård (actor) and Sverrir Gudnason (actor).

Passion for utility wear and classic function |
THE BACKGROUND |
|
|
Hope is a Swedish fashion label created and run by the designers Ann Ringstrand and Stefan Söderberg. The first woman collection was launched in Autumn 2002 and in 2005 a collection for men was added to the concept. The first brand Shop opened in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2006, followed by six more HOPE Shops. The Hope Collection is also sold by over 200 exclusive retailers on 15 markets as well as in seven Hope Shop in Shops.
It begun as a creative discussion between two friends, Ann and Stefan, who both are passionate and extremely interested in well-made utility wear.
- We found modern and useful Outerwear and Trousers for men but none for women,
The raw, updated and masculine style for women is a look we really like. We began by redesigning vintage uniforms and traditional Men's Jackets into women's wear, using unexpected fabrics. After presenting a small test collection in autumn of 2001 we got the positive response necessary to launch HOPE to the market in 2002. In the beginning we decided to focus and specialize only in Outerwear, Trousers and Accessories, to be able to develop quality, high fashion, products without compromising. We wanted the concept to be original and unique rather than a traditional fashion collection with all product groups presented, says Ann and Stefan.
