THE SIZE RANGE
Keeping in line with HOPE’s opinion on gender and style, additionally considering inclusiveness HOPE denim styles are offered in a broad size range (half of the range is available in waist sizes 25-36 and half of the styles from 25 -33). The range consists of styles that have a contemporary edge yet undoubted longevity. Detailing is unfussy and pivots around archetypal jeans workwear details.
THE ORGANIC COTTON
There is a strong nod towards authenticity within the fabric choices, utilizing classic construction of denim, 3/1 right-hand twill weave, in classic weights around 13,5oz. We consider this the best way to make denim as it looks great, improves with time and is highly durable. All HOPE jeans are produced in Portugal and crafted in GOTS certified cotton. GOTS is the gold standard for certified organic cotton, using GOTS certified cotton ensures that there is low environmental impact and social aspects are also addressed so the workers are provided with good working conditions.
THE SUSTAINABLE DETAILING
Down to every thread used to stitch the jeans is made from recycled polyester.
The HOPE branded buttons, trims and rivets use low environmental impact, most notably the elimination of electroplating finishing, reducing chemical and water usage compared to conventional methods.
THE WASHES
While you stay true in any of the aged vintage denim washes you should know that they are achieved with advanced and more sustainable techniques: from laser to ozone technology, drastically reducing the amount of energy, chemicals and water usage for all our denim. Also, when creating the HOPE denim vintage washes our collab with an eco laundry company recycles 97% of its water.
The foundation washes, Mid Blue Vintage, Washed Black and Vintage Black are designed to give a subtle worn-in look, giving space to create more of the vintage charm as you wear them in. The range also picks up on less conventional denim colours, offering grey and brown jeans with an overlay of stone washing for a vintage appearance.
